About Us
Santa Clara Woman's Club was founded in 1904 as a civic improvement society. The first project was refurbishing the Mission Plaza [current site of the Mission Library]. Weeds were cleared, lawn and geraniums planted, fences, benches and the bandstand painted, and a gardener employed. Since that time, this all volunteer organization has continued to serve the community, both locally and globally. Our clubhouse, The Adobe, dates back to the 3rd Mission Santa Clara of 1784, and is now a registered California Landmark.
